Game 5 Celtics v. Lakers

This blog really doesn’t have anything to do with sports, so I comment on sporting events at my peril, but I got to go to the game in the garden with my Dad.

Very exciting game and crazy fans. There was a lot of excitement in the arena and two related things stood out.

1. The garden is a crazy place to play for an opposing team. Someone threw something on the court at one time (not sure if this got on TV), and the noise was pretty outrageous. Several technical fouls were called as a testament to the aggressiveness of the players.

2. Pau Gasol was emotionally shattered by this game and I think a big part of game 6 will be whether he has been psychologically rehabilitated. What I mean is, he missed free throws, g0t blocked multiple times, didn’t score much, and got generally abused during the game. His effectiveness was drastically reduced and I’m interested to see how he comes out in game 6.
