Sworway or Neden

We talk a lot about secession due to political oppression or ethnic discrimination, but there are some real cases for unification as well.

Norway and Sweden used to be one country, except Norway wanted to have a king and Sweden didn’t. Thus, they split apart peacefully at the turn of the century. However, both countries are very similar to each other. Both countries have low income inequality and high economic development. The different, according to my friend, is that Norway has a lot of oil and is richer because of that.

So, I think the two should get back together since there are economies of scale to government. Why have two governments when you could have one without having to change any of the policies? Also, the king issue is kind of dead since the Norway king can’t really do anything, and kings don’t have nearly the significance they did at the beginning of this century.
